Best accommodations in Venice beach...by Jonathan S.

Best accommodations in Venice beach. The rooms are new and beautiful. The staff is super friendly and down to earth and I love the beach front Figtree's cafe downstairs. They only have 12 rooms so book early. The rates are VERY reasonable for a large beachfront suites - I was surprised. This is Venice beach at it's finest and I will return to stay at Su Casa again. Su Casa Venice Beach - Los Angeles Citysearch Video

...I came across this little gem of a place.

Traveling with kids leads to a whole different set of challenges that most of my non-breeding friends could ever comprehend. The first of which is finding an acceptable and comfortable kid friendly place to stay that won't rob you of all of your hard earned money. Toting along a couple of toddlers, my husband, and our wonderful Au pair also causes us to need an entire wing to ourselves. (I can only imagine how the Brady's did it. No wonder they only went to Hawaii and the Grand Canyon in all those years!!) Forgetting that it was Spring Break week, I stupidly waited until the last min to book a hotel for the fam for a weekend trip to Venice for my friends baby shower. All that was left was Britney Spears expensive, tiny hotel rooms and then I came across this little gem of a place. On the beach, and I mean on the beach, it sits above the Figtree Cafe. We got a 1 bedroom suite and then the studio room next door. The hotel was recently remodeled and when I say this, these folks drove over to Ikea and robbed the place blind. I mean, EVErYTHING is from Ikea, my Swedish Au Pair thought she somehow transported herself home. But hey, as far as I am concerned the stuff is functional and looks great. The rooms were a decent size, a full, well stocked kitchen, free internet, tasty breakfast brought to your room, and plasma tv's with The Dish network. We were set. The price was pretty reasonable too considering what we got. The area, while on the up and up, still is a bit sketchy at night so I wouldn't send the single ladies out a night walking or anything, but it's right smack in the middle of the action for daytime stuff. They also have free parking in a lot 50 yards away. D L. San Francisco, CA

"Lovely oceanside home away from home"

Su Casa is small and perfectly delightful, steps away from the Venice Beach "boardwalk." The staff is lovely and accommodating, and my room was spacious, beautiful, and well appointed. You'll sleep well in the comfortable bed with nice bedding, and if you don't want to make breakfast in the well equipped kitchen, just go downstairs and get 50% off a great breakfast at Fig Tree restaurant. Some of the rooms have ocean views and balconies (mine didn't but who cares - I was at the beach!) bk127 - Ann Arbor, Michigan
